Abstract

The relationship between Judaism and Christianity has been deeply intertwined throughout history, marked by both shared roots and complex theological divergences. Christianity emerged from the Jewish tradition in the first century CE, with Jesus of Nazareth and his early followers initially positioned within the framework of Judaism. However, over time, significant doctrinal differences and social-political dynamics led to the gradual separation of the two faiths. This article explores the historical development of their relationship, focusing on their common origins, theological divergences, and the impacts of key historical events. The interaction between Judaism and Christianity has shaped religious practices, cultural exchanges, and even geopolitical developments over the centuries. This article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of their intertwined histories, offering insights into the foundations of both religions and their evolution.
