Abstract

Throughout history, religious movements have profoundly shaped the evolution of art and architecture, influencing the cultural, aesthetic, and philosophical aspects of civilizations. From the awe-inspiring temples and churches to the intricate calligraphy of Islamic mosques, religious ideologies have played a critical role in defining the aesthetic expressions of their respective societies. This paper explores how various religious movements, including Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism, have influenced art and architecture across different historical periods. By examining religious art, sacred spaces, and architectural forms, this study seeks to highlight the diverse ways religious ideologies have manifested in the physical and artistic landscapes of the world. The analysis also includes a comparative view of the changing role of art and architecture as a tool for religious expression and its impact on broader cultural developments.
