Abstract

This article examines the role of postmodernism in reshaping history through literature and art. By challenging traditional narratives and embracing diverse, often fragmented perspectives, postmodern works question established histories and promote alternative interpretations. This analysis covers key postmodernist techniques such as pastiche, irony, intertextuality, and metafiction, exploring how they redefine the historical narrative. Through case studies in literature and visual art, the paper illustrates postmodernism’s impact on historical discourse, demonstrating how these works invite audiences to engage critically with history. Graphs, charts, and tables document the rise of postmodernist themes and techniques, highlighting their enduring influence on contemporary cultural production.
